Our Front-End Engineers will be a crucial part of the Technology team. You will get to work with our Chief Technology Officer and other developers to help build software products that advance the power of education around the world. These products include educational softwares, like EDlumina & EDvera, as well as other client softwares that our team has been building.
Our team offers insightful recommendations and data-fueled strategies to help our clients address some of their most complex business issues. You will work alongside and learn from cross-functional teams with leaders and peers with varying backgrounds, education, and experiences. We are a diverse and talented team that supports a collaborative culture.
For our on site engineers, we work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Sedentary, sitting, walking, occasional lifting (overhead, waist level) from floor, bending, frequent near vision use for reading and computer use; frequent stressful conditions (cardiovascular).

Origami Interactive is looking for a talented and self motivated software developer with experience in Ruby on Rails and VueJS. Ideally, this position is based out of Dayton, OH or Columbus, OH but remote work is an option for the right candidate.
As a software developer, you should have at least three years of experience writing clean, well tested, server side code as part of a full web application. You should also have a basic proficiency and be comfortable working with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. You will work under the leadership of the Chief Technology Officer.
At Origami Interactive you need you need to be more than a proficient software developer, you need to be a skilled team player, communicator, and problem solver. Since we have team members who are remote, we communicate through Slack, Email, and video chats throughout the day. You must be able to express your ideas and needs clearly. Everyone on our team also speaks directly with our clients on a regular basis. You must be able to explain technical concepts to non-technical people thoughtfully, and you must be able to work and communicate with a diverse range of people.
One of the most important skills required for working at Origami Interactive is the ability to own projects you are working on, no matter how big or small. We do not believe in micromanaging and respect our team members ability to focus and get the job done. We will need someone who can take direction and run with it, asking questions when needed, and making sure to own the project all the way until deployment or delivery.
